This is a very nice park in the heart of the city it is cool if you are a tourist because you can see the Maori carvings. We went here to see a show and it was a nice place to chill out

Always have some activities to do or watch in this amazing public space. Like Diwali festival, Taiwan day and lots of cultural presentation

This is the largest open-air space in Auckland's CBD. There's room for many people as some major events happen here. it's highlight is a large arch called “Waharoa’ (Gateway in Maori), made of wood and copper that features musical instruments, shells, birds, fish, the moon symbolizing New Zealand art and the Maori influence. It was designed by Maori sculptor Selwyn Muru. The square was named for Motu Aotea, Maori for the Great Barrier Island. Worth a "look see"...

A great place to relax and have lunch in the city. This is where the usual activities in the city take place, recently there was a celeberity chef handing out free food, had the precialla bus giving out free tickets, the all blacks photo session. keep a eye on theis place

Aotea Square in a lovely place to relax during your shopping spree and sightseeing in CBD area in the heart of Auckland. There are a number of foodie places nearby for a quick snack or meal. Aotea Square is well connected by bus and is certainly worth a visit during your trip to Auckland.

Despite recent-ish development work, Aotea Square is still (in my opinion) a fantastic location but otherwise a waste of space. For events, great. But day to day, there's barely even anywhere to sit - quite surprising.
