Sabrina at the front desk went beyond the usually high standards of service. She welcomed me back, and recognised that I was a loyal fan of The Pullman, and acknowledged it by an upgrade.
(I had put in a request when prompted by their email system - for a discounted price, but upon arrival, staff mentioned that it did not come through, and couldn't do anything about it unless I pay the full price difference due no control over the web-based system).
Sabrina calmly said, The Pullman is delighted to have you back, and it is our pleasure to upgrade you and thank you for your patience with the technical issue of the email upgrade. She proceeded to step out of the desk, helped carry my luggage, and personally walked me to my upgraded suite.
Loyalty these days still mean something to The Pullman. It has real people like Sabrina who deeply cares for returning customers (like coming home). I now find myself compelled to always pick Accor over the other brands.
