First of all the entire staff at the Hilton Auckland is exceptionally professional, and very nice! The hotel itself is located in the best location to get to and from the fairies and walk to and from key points like the sky tower, museums, and restaurants nearby. I hope to come back soon and I will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I had an overnight staycation here for our 20th wedding anniversary and we enjoyed it. We loved our room which looked out onto the city and harbour. There was drizzly rain, so we weren’t able to relax on our balcony, but we were still able to take in the expansive views, which were especially beautiful at night, and we loved watching the ferries come and go.
We noticed the plush robes promised on the website were missing, but as it wasn’t a big deal for us, we didn’t see the need to bother the front desk. The bed was pretty comfortable. My husband got a good sleep, but the pillows weren’t great for me, so my night was fitful. We certainly couldn’t fault the heating. In fact, it got so warm, I had to turn the temperature down during the night!
The bathtub was also difficult to navigate as it was very slippery. I’d suggest management look into putting non-slip, non-abrasive tape along the bottom of the tubs as it would be very easy for someone to fall.
Our buffet breakfast the next morning was amazing. There was a great selection of food and drinks to choose from which made it well worth the money.
Overall, our visit to the Hilton was very pleasant and we’d definitely recommend it.

A great hotel in the perfect location.
Check in was easy and even though we arrived early, we got a room. This was very much appreciated.
The room was amazing with a separate living area.
Breakfast is excellent with great staff.
Talofa to the valet guys, it is always great to see you and thanks for making us feel like we came home!

Very nice people and excellent service.
The room is clean and beautiful
There is a beautiful view of the lake from the room
The location is close to the ferry and shops and buss and train station.
The lobby is beautiful and comfort to sit to eat and enjoy.

I gave such a low rating because the cleanliness and servicing of our room was far below what we would have expected in a Hilton or any accomodation in Nz.
We asked for our sheets to be changed during the service. That was all the house keepers did….Did not replenish any thing, took dirty towels away but did not replace them, did not replace the tea, or any amendment’s in the bathroom. Did not take our used cups or glasses away or replace with clean ect, ect. The room was very dirty I will post photos. I thought I smelled something off when I walked in, but saw spots on the carpet and thought the carpet was overdue for a clean. Had shower the drain smelt like a sewer. The shower gel was empty. The next day when I was putting my shoes on and my nose was closer to the floor, I got a big woff of something off, had a look around a found dried vomit beside the bed and under neath the beside cabinet. I will attach photos.
I must say all of the reception and door staff were lovely and I could it fault the exception service from them.
Hilton Auckland you need to train your house keeping staff, we paid well over $500 nzd a night, the expectation was a clean well appointed stay. The room was also very tied. And as a New Zealander I am extremely disappointed that I experienced this level of cleanliness in my own country and would not like a visitor to Nz to think that this is our standards. It is not.
