My wife and I arrived at the Latitude 37 at midnight and were given instructions to open an exterior safe to get our keys. The location of the safe was off the street and poorly lit, fortunately I had a flashlight. We arrived at our room to find that the hotel was not air conditioned and Auckland had been very hot and humid. The small fan they provided was inadequate to move any air at all and the room was stifling. we had to open the double patio doors and the hall door to get air. we were at street level so the room did not afford us any privacy with the patio doors open. There was no office staff on duty for the entire weekend we were there, so there was no opportunity to improve our situation. We also expected a larger accommodation. they billed this room as a suite, but it was actually a small hotel room with a small kitchen efficiency crammed into the entrance of the room.
The location of the hotel very good. It sits right at Viaduct Harbor with great restaurants and attractions close by.More
