To be fair, simply amazing. The staff are very personable and friendly. They know their roles well and are helpful. The food came in a consistent flow to keep you happy but not crowded with plates. The flavours...omg...the flavours were just divine. My only critique is...when seasonal vegetables are offered as a side plate, please advise what it will be. We ordered it and got a plate of beetroot...that's all. That was the only reason the food didn't get 5 stars.
Overall I would highly recommend the restaurant as a must do.

We had been told this was an exceptional restaurant so booked in to take our Mum out for a celebratory dinner. We had a cocktail to start then shared a bottle of wine. Hubby enjoyed the hazy IPA. We shared 4 small plates which were all so delicious. We shared the lamb shoulder, cauliflower and chips as our main then all had a dessert. WOW WOW WOW. I would give 8 stars if we could as this was so good. We will be back.

Cold winters night & hubby had booked a table for 2, well in advance, to celebrate my birthday.

Turn up and it was so, so loud & we were offered a seat by the full height freezing windows by the cold entrance, in noisiest part of restaurant. Asked for something quieter and warmer - offered outside seating with the smokers (we don't smoke) on high chairs (dangerous for recovering shattered knee!).
So sit where we were offered and never took our winter coats off.

Hadn't even looked at menu when a waiter bought something to table. Too loud to hear him so after he walked away I gave it a poke, licked my finger and tasted it. Then he returns, takes it off our table, puts it on table behind us. Sorry people but you got my fingerprint and my spit :(

Ordered drinks & entrees. Drinks & pita bread turn up. We wait & wait, then corn fritters come. We wait & wait & wait, and waitress comes to remove untouched dishes but we say "don't do that, we are waiting for the meatballs & chicken skewers" Oh says she and scurries off.

We know the meatballs & chicken skewers had been sitting all that time somewhere because they were served stone cold! The 3 meatballs were flavourless & chewy & I would presume pre-made & reheated (what chef manages to embarrass themselves making chewy meatballs!!!), the 3 corn fritters were bland & boring, the garlic pita may have had a piece of garlic waved over it, and the 2 chicken skewers were gristly scraps of over-cooked chicken on mashed potato. We did complain & we weren't charged for the inedible chicken.

Hubby & I have spent quite a bit of time in beautiful Greece. This is not Greek or even 'greek-inspired' food. No flavour, no delicious aroma!

So we finished our drinks and left to find a lovely establishment further down the road and enjoyed divine food there.

Speaking to others about our experience and the comments are all the same - you don't go to Gerome for the food, you go for the atmosphere! You go to be seen and to be with those who want to be seen.

Sorry, no, I go to a restaurant for good food with hopefully good service. Gerome had neither.

Took 14 of my overseas colleagues here and had a great meal. All were very impressed. We had the private room upstairs and were so well looked after.Gerome is fast becoming my go to restaurant.

They were open Sunday night, so we headed out in the pouring rain onto the busy motorway. But.... so worth the trip. Were joined by family and we were not disappointed. Great menu, only one meal unavailable, but everything tapa's wise and large plates was stunning. The fig tapa dish was stand out for me and the octopus large plate. Thank you so much
