After landing in Auckland and realizing our Airbnb wouldn’t allow early check-in, we set off to find a spot to eat. I stumbled across a cafe on Yelp, and the menu had me intrigued. So, we parked in a nearby garage and strolled down a quaint little street, where this hidden gem awaited.
The cafe was buzzing with energy—people everywhere—but we were greeted with warmth the moment we arrived. We chose to sit outside, and the waiter even brought us the cutest high chair for our little one—the kind you strap onto a regular chair!
Menus in hand, water served instantly, and we kicked things off with a cappuccino and a flat white. Unsure what to get for our baby girl, the waiter suggested a “fluffy” (or babycino)—a small cup of warm milk with froth and two marshmallows. She downed the whole thing, grinning and saying “yummy” with every sip. A win for sure!
My husband went for the Melba Grill, while I couldn’t resist the Benedict with salmon, spinach, and some extra mixed mushrooms. 🍄
Our food arrived quickly, and wow—presentation was on point. The flavors? Even better! Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We were happily full by the end, but not weighed down—definitely a sign that the ingredients were top-notch, organic, and locally sourced.
If you’re even remotely considering this place, let this be your sign—don’t walk, RUN to this cafe! The ambiance, the vibrant atmosphere, the attentive staff, the gorgeous food, and the unforgettable flavors made for the perfect start to our family vacation here in New Zealand. 🇳🇿
