This looks impressive from the ground and the 100 steps to the top are prtty fun. t can give you quite a bit of vertigo as the tower sways, but there are stops in the middle of each floor to help you get your bearing.

While I enjoyed the climb, to be totally honest I was a little disappointed with the views. To the back of the park the views were amazing, but the views to the front towards the city are now totally impeded by a large tree. This isn't a train smash as you get amazing views at other spots in the park, but I was expecting more.

On a side note, when I got to the top I came across a "loving" couple, so it must be quite a romantic spot ;)

Fun tower to climb for both the exercise and the view. Bring your camera and get some great shoots. The view is beautiful all around.

The first settlement in Perth [ a military decision by the then governor ] in 1829 saw tall trees on Mt Eliza used as lookout and communication positions to see Fremantle and the coast. This tower allows the visitor to have a similar vantage point. It's a pleasant addition to a stroll through beautiful Kings Park.

Came back to this tower for another visit after a considerable gap. Good exercise to climb it quickly and time yourself to the top. My daughter was able to do it in 30 seconds, which is not bad for a young child.

Walking up the swath of grass from the Zamia cafe to the DNA tower is one of the most pleasant outings on a summer day. Then stretch yourself with an easy climb to the top for super views. Getting in touch with nature!
