His Majesty's Theatre has been very well maintained over the years but has not lost its original features. The atmosphere inside reminds me of the West End in London. This is not a modern, sleek theatre but a heritage building with lots of wood, velvet and charm inside. Like most old theatres the toilet facilities for women are inadequate so expect queues. The best seating is obviously in the central areas of each level. Seats on the edges of the Stalls can block sections of the stage. There is no parking immediately near the theatre. Most patrons choose a multi-storey government car park on the opposite side of Hay Street, about 10 mins walk, which is not too expensive.
