Our visit to The Blackman was on a wintery, blustery weekend. From our room we could snuggle and watch the weather go by (as it does in Melbourne). When we did venture out we had a St Kilda Road tram on our doorstep. The ambience and furnishing are hip and luxurious. The hotel was spotless and, despite the busy road location, quiet and relaxing.
The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
Breakfast was included and pleasant without being wow but the waiter a was a little underwhelmed to be serving us and didn't really explain how the selections worked - this was in contrast to all other staff members we encountered who were charming, friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay again - it was beautiful.More
