This is simply the best sporting precinct on the planet. The reason: it hosts several stadiums for sports and entertainment (football, soccer, tennis, rugby, and every imaginable concert and event / day or night). And in almost every category it is acknowledged as the best in its class ie the facilities for the Australian Open tennis tournament. With all these facilities connected through a series of bridges and paths; all within short proximity to the other. And to best of all, in Melbourne City and a stones throw to all those entertainment hubs and amazing cafe and more formal restaurants.

I was very fortunate to visit twice on my recent holiday there. Its a fantastic atmosphere and plenty to see when not watching tennis. Rod Laver Arena was fantastic especially during the mens final

can't think of many cities in the world that have a sporting precinct like melbourne. in a small area you have the MCG, aami park and tennis arenas. best way too get there is too either walk from fed square or take a unique tram to arenas. don't drive as parking when events are in is exorbitant

We needed a meal before the evening session and this Italian Restaurant was great!
Quickly shown to a table, inside out of the wind, we perused the menu.
Ordering takes place at register; food was quickly prepared and efficiently brought to our table, as were the drinks.
Water bottles and glasses are available to take to tables.
Meal was delicious and turn around was most efficient!

Attentive and cooperative staff.

Situated adjacent to Door 15 Rod Laver Arena - outside, near eastern outside courts and car park
