Overall had a good stay at the Old Woolstore but there are some areas for improvement. We stayed in a 2 br, 2.5 bath apt Here's the good, bad, and ugly.
Good: For starters, incredibly friendly and welcoming staff from the get go through dining and all the way to check out! Without our requesting, staff offered us umbrellas which was genuinely appreciated given the weather. Great location - near wharf areas for various tours and easy walk to downtown shopping area. Spacious rooms. Breakfast buffet is great - lots of variety from continental to hot buffet with 2 types of eggs (poached or scrambled), bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, mushroom, spinach, rice potatoes ...
Bad: We were there in winter and the back rooms are freezing. Thankfully, they provided us with space heaters. The carpet needs to be shampooed or switched out as it was quite dingy in places and has seen better days.
Ugly: This is minor but the décor/furniture could be updated/modernized. My kid joked that the furniture was from the '90s.
All in all though, a good stay and have no real qualms over recommending the Old Woolstore as a place to stay.More
