Owner description: WILD LIFE Hamilton Island is one of only a few places in the world where you can experience the thrill and excitement of cuddling a koala. This is an excellent opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Australia's most famous and unique animals. Other experiences include Breakfast with the Koalas, Koala Cuddle Photos, personal encounters with other animals including our Dingoes, Snakes and Lizards, our Keeper Tours (free with admission) and the Twilight Tour and BBQ. The highlight of this small wildlife park is definitely the koalas (there are maybe 5 or 6). There is a large scary looking croc, a couple of dingoes, some snakes and a few kangaroos and wallabies and that's about all I can remember. I felt sorry for some of the animals in their small enclosures.

If you have a child that is interested in listening to the keeper talks you might get better value out of this. Our visit was fairly short, but you do have the option of being able to revisit the park for the rest of your stay. My husband and son went back the next day for another look so this makes it slightly better value.

Unless you have a burning desire to get up close and personal with a koala, you are not going to miss much if you don't visit.

A family visit to the wildlife centre was part of our package to the island as a day visit. We did the 10am tour and went back again in the afternoon. The female speaker was so informative. Our kids loved it!

These are the reviews we just love to hear as they do provide an honest account of the value our attraction does offer to island guests. Participating in both the morning and afternoon tours through making use of the unlimited admissions tickets allows for just this and great to see your family took full advantage of the experience.

They may call themselves a wildlife park but there really isn’t that much to see and it’s extremely overpriced. You can walk the entirety within 5-10 min and then it’s over.

This is unfortunate feedback and we are obviously concerned that you did not have the time to take up all the opportunity and experiences on offer at Wildlife Hamilton Island given we are certainly more than a 5-10 minute experience and our value for money unlimited entry ticket is geared for guests to ensure they are able to return while on island at various times of the day in line with our structured program of activities and experiences. Our 45 minute guided tours at 10am and 4pm are thoroughly enjoyed by most of our guests not to mention the photo experiences and our unique Breakfast with the Koalas offering.

We visited this “zoo” only because we had some time to kill on our last day. This is a small wildlife reserve and you can see all the animals in about 15 minutes. There is nothing interesting or unique about this place.

Feedback is always appreciated and taken on board and is what drives us to improve our attraction and experience at Wildlife Hamilton Island. Thank you for taking the time to express your view. I do however believe that had you participated in one of our two daily guided tours you would have had a rather different perspective given the duration, interaction and information our team and animals share. Unfortunately it does appear that you were time bound.

We got to "cuddle a koala" and this was excellent. The keepers were very imformative and told us exactly what to do and how to hold them. The small park was very well maintained and lots of signs with explanations of the animals that were in the enclosures. We also got to have breakfast one day on the same day we cuddled a koala.
