“Fantastic home for our family getaway”
Reviewed 23 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Our family of 5 (kids 6, 4, almost 2) stayed here for 8 nights in November 2017.

The home has 4 large bedrooms. Upstairs is a massive master suite & large 2nd bedroom (where we put our portacot - which is available with the house if you ask), along with a large bathroom with spa, shower & toilet. 2 good sized double bedrooms are downstairs, along with a 2nd bathroom & the main living area. Kitchen is very well equipped considering it is a holiday rental, and there is a washing machine & dryer as well. Aircon works well, keeping the house as cool as you need.

The house is in a gated complex of 9 - during our travel period we had the place pretty much to ourselves. There is a beautiful pool a 30 second walk from the property - this place is shielded from the pool area and would not get any noise from the pool should you have other guests around. There is undercover parking convenient to the house (we hired a car - would be much more difficult here without your own wheels imo).

Walking through the back gate leads you straight into a large park with a good playground for our age kids. From there, there is a short path to the beach - great pedestrian access all the way to Macrossan St (4km) at low tide.

On the gate access to the park, there are numerous green tree ants doing their thing - they never caused us any problems at all but may make you pause if you aren't a fan of bugs!

The place is very clean & well kept - however it isn't sparkling & new (which works for us with young boys!). There are a few minor signs of wear, but nothing that would bother - everything works as it should, and the house extremely comfortable and relaxing. There are numerous pool toys in the house (noodles, float toys, etc) to use as well, as well as plenty of pool/beach towels.

Phone reception is poor/intermittent with Optus, I believe Telstra is much better there. We managed fine however with the included wifi - had no issue with speeds.

Overall, a great tropical home away from home for us.

“Fantastic apartment for a family, or even two!”
Reviewed 10 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Loved the configuration of this apartment, 2 bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and 2 downstairs with a bathroom, sleeps 8 in total. It was great, as it meant we could have upstair with the kids and my parents could have peace and quiet downstairs all by themselves. The apartment had everything we needed including beach towels for the pool, which the kids enjoyed to cool off at the end of the day. Location was fantastic for us, we had a hire car, so it made a great base to explore the area, but what's more, compared to the price some nearby hotels wanted to charge for smaller 3 bed apartments, it was definitely well worth it. The only negative was the wifi, it was so slow it was barely usable, we contacted the property manager who said we should be getting 50mbps but we wasn't getting anywhere close.
