Review of Nudgee Beach

Nudgee Beach
Ranked #101 of 315 things to do in Brisbane
Attraction details
Reviewed 13 July 2017 via mobile

Nudgee Beach is a great place to visit with the family.
Take the dogs or take the kids or just take yourself.
Nudgee Beach is not so much a beachfront but more a part of the Boondall Wetlands and Wildlife Reserve Complex.
It has a great kids playground complex as well as bbq facilities, walking trails and picnic areas.
An off-leash dog park is a short walk, as are facilities at the small Nudgee Beach Village.
Take the mozzie and insect repellent and don't forget to slip, slop and slap.

We often come here when we are waiting for a connecting flight and have a couple of hours to spare and you don't want to sit around in the airport. Its free and a nice spot to sit and watch the water birds with some lunch. Sometimes its nice to get out of the aircon.

the nudgee beach hotel is really in banyo but never mind about that for a cold beer friendly staff and great cheap tasty meals. i have paid twice as much elsewere and not as good as here. daily specials and my favourite on monday a seniors meal and a beer / wine or soft drink for 1o bucks.

Brisbane has 3 islands off shore so no sand and surf beaches only mangrove tidal water front - not a beach - so don't be fooled unless you like swamps

Not REALLY a beach...more of a waterfront location for a picnic etc. Great to give the dogs a run but not really a swimming spot as it is very muddy with difficult water access.
