The point is a great business hotel- offering beautifully serviced quiet rooms. It has all the amenities you require including some indulgences such as a turn down service.
The staff are always very welcoming!
I now am using the hotel for short breaks as well- its location is excellent.

Room tip: book early when big sporting events are on

Stayed there for a business meeting. Very close to the city. The meeting room upstaires offers a spectacular view of the city and kangaroo point. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The room i stayed in was staggeringly small. Unconfortable to get in out of the bathroom/toilet. Felt very enclosed in the room. Im sure they have bigger rooms, but was shocked by that. If you dont mind that otherwise a nice hotel.

I stayed here for 2 nights in May 2016 with my husband. We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance from our wedding venue. The hotel were really helpful and let us drop off our luggage a day early and had our bags in our room ready for when we arrive after our wedding. It was great. The hotel itself is more of a business hotel rather than a luxury hotel but it was really clean and had big rooms. They have an amazing rooftop bar that had beautiful views of the city and this was the perfect place to enjoy the end of the weekend. It is within walking distance to a convenience store, a few restaurants and a bottle shop. If I had a car I would stay here because it is easy to drive to from the airport or mayor highways. I wouldn’t stay if I wanted to get a really central location, the hotel isn’t really located in the CBD. I would stay here again.

Reception area on arrival - excellent. Room excellent although we would have liked a better view. Amenities - superb as was the Oyster Bay sparkling wine and platter.

Breakfast a little disappointing - scrambled eggs like rubber - rest of food pretty fatty. Didn't realise until next day we could have ordered fried eggs which we did and they were first class with the gluten free bread. Fresh fruit disappointing - considering Queensland has wonderful pineapple and strawberries at this time of the year.

Waitress/hostess - lovely girl.

Room tip: Ask for best view available.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way to Melbourne. The room and view of the city were spectacular. The pool was very chilly but refreshing. We found the location to be convenient for us to use as a hop-off point for visiting the city.
