We spend a total of 4 nights here, prior and after a trip to Kakadu and Litchfield.
Good motel, clean and comfortable rooms. Family room was ok for 2 adults and a 13 and 12 yr old. Breakfast included is nothing too fancy but what you would expect for this price range.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Close to the main highway and walking distance to town and Mindil Beach if you’re fit.
Bus stops around the corner and onsite parking.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed here while travelling the Darwin City Edge is very centrally locates about 10 minutes walk from Darwin City. The rooms are small cleaned to a high standard to offer a great stay. Emma on reception is so friendly and helpful and nothing is any trouble for her. Breakfast is great and complimentary and a decent offering. The pool and BBQ area are also excellent. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. A decent value budget hotel definitely recommend

Thank you

This is a tired old motel that needs an upgrade. We found the rooms clean on arrival, and comfortable, but not everything works, and there are no hairdryers, and very minimal cutlery/crockery.
Housekeeping do not service the rooms every day. We stayed 5 nights, during which time we were woken on the second morning by the housekeepers before 8 am. We asked them to return later in the morning, but the end result was NO room service for the 5 nights we were there. We had to organise resupply of toiletries, coffee, toilet paper, etc. ourselves.
Office staff were very helpful, assisting with late checkouts and bag storage when we took other side trips to other places owned by the same chain.
The motel is a longish walk from town, and anywhere else, especially in the Darwin heat. Options for meals nearby are limited to the local pub. Be prepared to use taxis to go to most places.
The free continental breakfast is adequate, but boringly predictable.
Price of accommodation is higher than would be expected for this level of accommodation and service.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor - no lifts to other levels.

My wife and I stayed at Darwin City Edge Motel and Suites in
suite 309 for 14 days. Our welcome letter and directions was not in our room - we arrived after 5.00pm - as we had been advised. The room is very, very basic and quite rundown. The ceiling fan was so noisy it kept us awake. The stove top was next to useless but the microwave was good to use.On one ' light clean day', the only thing done in our room was the bin liner changed in the bathroom. The office staff were friendly and helpful. The toiletries were lovely. Overall, we were quite disappointed with our stay.

Room Tip: I wouldn't advise staying here.
