This is an historic location with the houses dating from the 1920s and earlier. Under threat from development and well worth a visit.

It was great taking a stroll on the streets of Millers Point, much quieter than The Rocks. I loved looking at these old houses, the architecture is so typical of this part of the world but sadly some buildings are in a state of disrepair. It was very obvious that there is some ongoing dispute with the tenants facing eviction. It's a really sad thing but I still recommend visiting this area, since it's so close to The Rocks and Harbour Bridge.

Millers Point is a small suburb within the City of Sydney and it is often thought to be a part of The Rocks neighbourhood. Beautiful, most historical part of the city. However its residents experiencing real diffiulties and continue to fight evictions.

Millers point in wedged between the Rocks and Barangaroo and has been fighting for the survival of the old small houses that were part of early Sydney development. It's a shame to think that in years to come, they will be demolished to allow space for further tower development. But money talks.

In the meantime, it's worth a walk out from the rocks and through the bridge under the road to the Harbour Bridge to head out to this quaint suburb of Sydney.

Look for the rows of old houses, the converted old warehouses and wharf buildings. Plenty to see and visit for a few hours around one of the few remaining original Harbour suburbs.

I feel sorry for the residents at Millers Point as the old houses will be demolished soon for a big face lift of the community. Do go to Millers Point before the old houses are gone because its surrounding already changed, replaced by new modern high rise.
