Highly recommended to visit the Notre Dame of Sydney. A tall and imposing cathedral offering peace and serenity in the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
No words can describe the feeling of visiting this Cathedral. I was blessed to attend Sunday mass in the morning. And felt at peace
during the entirety of it all. You would have to be there to know what I'm writing about. Peaceful and reverent.
The mass was supposedly solemn but these distract me by their constant selfies inside the church. The glass stained high windows are beautiful. The lights add drama to the atmosphere inside. There are nook & cranny places on the side worth exploring.
If you are visiting Sydney and you have seen enough churches you really need to see St Mary's Cathedral. Located in Sydney City with its high volted ceilings and stained glass St Mary's is gorgeous. There is also a restaurant outside so you can take in Sydney and the beauty of St Mary's. Enjoy a stroll through Hyde Park after eating as it is across the road.
Absolutely gorgeous church, which is very well maintained and kept. Such a calming and gorgeous place.
