Fantastic view with very little effort and short drive from the city. Definitely worth a look for anyone - probably only need to allow 10-15 minutes tops.

Loads of parking, nice friendly guy with a drinks stand, AWESOME view BUT attack of the lady birds, lol.
The vendor had told us they normally come at the start of the year for two months but were running late this year. 1000s of them. At least it wasn’t mosquitoes!
I was glad of coach transport to the lookout rather than having to walk! Once there, a great view of the city and Lake Burley Griffin unfolds from the viewing platform. Foe those using their own transport there is plenty of parking space.
A good way to round off a visit to Canberra.
Visit this place after going to the Parliament! The view of the straight line from top and blue skies is breathtaking. We did not hike. We drove. Next time we hike!!
Rode up to the peak, stayed for about one hour. Magnificent view of Canberra, I recommend going up for a great view, or even a picnic.
This overlook offers a perspective of the layout of Canberra city that is superior to that offered by the Telstra tower due to the fact that it views right down to the War Memorial and Parliament House.
