I visit Canberra several times a year and this was the first time I'd hiked up Mount Ainslie and I can't believe what I was missing. It's a pretty steep climb in places, but I just went at my own pace and enjoyed the walk. There were lots of information signs along the way with points of interest. The track itself was easy to walk along and the views from the top were magnificent. You can really appreciate the layout of Canberra from there and you get an excellent perspective over the Australian War Museum. I was glad there was a van selling water at the top as it was quite a warm day. Will take some with me next time.
