The view, looking down over Cape Cornwall, from the dining room is one of the best breakfast views I've ever had. It must be awesome when there are different weather experiences!
The young man who checked us in at reception was fantastic and because it was the slack season he gave us an upgrade. Our room, in the block in the outside courtyard, was clean, warm (most necessary!) and quite spacious enough for us although it would have been nice to have had a little desk. The WiFi worked well which was a bonus after some other places we had been in!
On the down side, the bathroom unfortunately smelled quite musty, the heated towel rail didn't heat and the kettle had to be the worst hot water pourer I've ever met. We also discovered that the Slack season also means that the restaurant often decides it won't do dinner (it would have been nice to know that before we returned from a long days sightseeing!) and it's a windy little Road back into St Just in the winter dark. Breakfast was OK and the one night we did have dinner, it was very pleasant with tasty food.
