On a road trip of NZ, stopped off for some coffees and teas, I don’t think the staff here have heard of service with a smile, or heard of apologising if they get something wrong. Just some basic politeness would have been great. Coffee nice but tea was cold, water was not boiling hot. Had to ask for another one. Don’t mind if people get things wrong but a bit more personality from the staff would be fab.

Good selection of cafe food. Service was a bit grumpy, might have been a bad day, but no teapots, so couldn't provide tea! Overcame this by suggesting the tea bag could go directly into the mug. Apple slice was double the expected size and tasty.

We stopped here on the way back to Wellington. It is a no fail reliable place to get good food. They have a wide range of counter food as well as fried chicken and a menu to choose from. The food is classic old Kiwi cafe food. The decor is also very 1970s. They have a bathroom in the same style. They make a very good coffee. Would recommend the custard squares and milkshakes.

Best service. Only coffee stop i come when travelling up north. Nice manners and homely environment. They remember my coffee the way i like it. Perfect.

We have been to hunters cafe so many times and we all love to go there and enjoy the food there.There mushrooms on toast is soo good and I would recommend that to everyone to try.

The prices are very reasonable as compare to the other places and the quantity of the food is amazing.

The park is cross the road so it’s a good pace for your little ones too. I will recommend this place to everyone.
