Unplanned stop on a road trip. I was cold and pretty tired, so my view might be coloured by that. Nice enough coffee and partner enjoyed his eggs benne. I had my customary bacon-and-banana on pancakes. Bacon was great, "pancakes" were really crepes (thin and folded into triangles) that unfortunately didn't have enough structure to be used as crepes (fold around filling), perhaps they needed to be fried at a higher temperature. Felt like there wasn't a whole banana (it was cut into slices and seemed small) but it's mid winter, maybe it was a bobby banana. Tons of whipped cream.
Cafe itself is a quirky space, anyone sitting at the table to the right of the service area has to move to let people in and out of the table in the corner.
But the staff were friendly and the service was quick. :-)
Stopped for lunch - exceptional soup and bread. Quick and friendly service although it was very busy
Great stop in Hunterville. Called in for a takeaway coffee but everything looked so good we stayed for an early lunch. Pulled pork burger was delicious and the pie with vintage cheese was fab - the pastry was top notch! Couldn’t resist the carrot cake and ginger and Turkish delight slice either. So good! Service was fun and staff friendly. Highly recommend a stop here!!
A delightful surprise when passing through. Delicious food. Will make it a regular stop when traveling up the country
