Perfectly fine for a night to sleep
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Feb 2018
We literally spent long enough here to get changed to go to a party, then slept for 6 hours afterwards before driving 5 hours home the next day. For that purpose it was perfectly fine. Clean, well located (for our party), and everything worked as it should. Our room appeared to be an older room that has been updated, and it's been done to a good standard throughout except the shower which really showed its age. But aside from that, it was perfectly fine and I'd stay again for a similar purpose.

Six couples booked this place to attend a wedding. I can’t think if any other place could have been better. We had everything, we wanted.
We had six rooms in the upper floor, opposite the main office building. Rooms were quite large with many chairs/ sofas and we extended it by opening up the adjoining balcony. Accommodations were spotlessly clean. All facilities were in good condition. Parking inside the campus was secured at night time.
However things may not be liked by some are
No restaurant in the motel, even for breakfast. However just across the road you can have breakfast or make your own in the room kitchen (supermarket is not very far). Kitchen appliances, tea, coffee etc and carton of milk were there. Enough cups/ plate/ dishes/ silverware were there. (May bring outside food and eat leisurely in the room. But check this with host, if allowed?)
No lift for upper story rooms.
Host was very helpful

I have stayed here several times before, but this time the room was a big disappointment
***** AND NO, I WAS NOT AWARE I BOOKED A "cheap" NOISY ROOM
it is directly adjacent to the office, with a (locked) interconnecting door, and you can hear every conversation in reception
(capped by a phone that kept ringing 11:00 PM.
On the other side of the room is the main road, not more than 10 meters away, and it is a BUSY road. Soundproofing is far from perfect.
The room is spacious and well presented, but there are some hassles:
a. the fridge is directly next to the bed, and no way to get away from the humming.
b. there is no mirror, other than in the bathroom, and to even put on a tie is a struggle, since there is about a meter between the mirror and the toilet
c. There is only one cupboard, to be used for both hanging space and kitchen equipment. To be able to hang my suit jacket, i had to remove several objects, like wine glasses, etc.
d. No bedside table, but a space to put stuff down separated from the bed by vertical panelling

All in all, less than perfect
Will I stay here again? yes. But if I get this same room, I will very likely get into my car and look for a better place to sleep

Things that can be improved
1. Sound proofing - both to reception side and road side
2. A mirror in the bedroom
3. a different arrangement to hang clothes

Hi - sorry your stay was less than our normal "perfect" we do have some standard studios that face Great South Rd, which can be very busy but this is noted on the booking page so that people can book the deluxe rooms away from the road. please book direct via phone or email so we can accommodate the best room for you - hope to see you back again.

This place was comfy as, huge room for just me.Colleagues & I had nice relaxing supper & chill time in luxurious space after a hard day's training. Great walk in shower and a torch supplied even to see your way in the dark - this is located in bathroom, found by being curious.

We needed to stay in Greenlane to be near the Ascot hospital. My father was in a wheelchair so we needed a disabled equipped room. This was such a perfect place for us. The room was very large, double queen beds, great bathroom, easy access and parking right outside. It was also spotlessly clean and well presented. The location was handy to the motorway and easy to find. We would stay here again in a flash.

I was impressed with the efficiency of the check in and the fact that Lorraine remembered that I had emailed the motel - I had forgotten that. Lorraine also dealt swiftly and pleasantly with a couple of queries. The room was immaculately clean and had everything I needed. The bed was superbly comfortable. The "whisper glass" helped to deaden the noise from the road and I slept really well. Great value and I will certainly use this Motel again if I have to be in Auckland.

Room tip: Ask for a quiet room.
