This place is amazing. It’s a destination restaurant so not something to be rushed. Take the bus and walk the steps up from the beach. It’s worth it! But please do book. It’s popular for a reason.

We opted for the Fiesta menu. Great value as it’s takes a few hours too get through it all. We had two kids in our party of six so only ordered food for five and even that was more than enough for all of us!

The best thing though - is that most, if not all, of their food is gluten free. So for a coeliac this is a dream come true. Well done team! They even knew enough to toast gluten free bread separately from other bread in a dedicated toaster. To hats off to them. Great food, and great knowledge about gluten free and what that REALLY means. Brilliant. We need more places like yours!

We will definitely be back. Great service, great food, and great place. What’s more to love. Book!

Great food, great wine, and great friends. What more do you want. Service was excellent even though we rolled in late. They were only too happy to set a table up for us. Good advice on what to eat and drink made for a perfect afternoon

Ate here after a visit to ecozip as our original choice of Tantalus was not open for lunch on a Monday. My husband and I had the fiesta menu at $75 per person. It was an excellent decision! The food is all fresh, flavourful and beautifully prepared and will have you rolling out of the restaurant! Beautiful wines too.

My husband and I took the hop on hop off bus around Waiheke Island on a dreary, rainy day. We hopped off at the nearest stop to Casita Miro and walked, in a steady drizzle, along the waterfront, up about 100 steps, down several dirt roads, up and down Casita Miro’s muddy driveway past vineyards until we finally arrived at the restaurant about 1 hour ahead of our reservation. Nonetheless we were graciously accommodated and had a wonderful meal! Everything was perfect from the Miro Rose’ to the many dishes we sampled, from our server Orlando and finally to dessert—churros with hot chocolate dipping sauce and Madame Rouge wine. It was worth the adventure to experience such a meal. Final piece of advice—taxi back to the ferry wharf!

Firstly we had a wine tasting as part of an Island tour then we went back to Casita Miro for lunch as were were so impressed with our first visit. The wines, food matchings, tapas menu, service and interesting surroundings were great. Cath's bread is to die for and the service from Tereza and George was great. Mariano was our tasting host and he was so knowledgeable, interesting and charming. This is a must for anyone going to Waiheke!
