Excellent location across the road from the beach, beautiful views, lovely vibrant atmosphere, good place for a catch up and some tasty bar snacks.

Had a delicious lunch here with a fantastic view. I went for the falafel burger but there were plenty other options for the meat eater. The burger was huge and with the chips filled me up adequately until dinner time. There was a good choice of snacks and drinks for those who wanted to take away and sit on the beach.

As we were being shown around Waiheke, our host pointed out this place andsaid it was good. So we went back later and he was RIGHT! Just across from Onetangi Beach, the place has indoor and outdoor seating. You go up to the order counter, tell 'em what you want, they give you a flag thingie with a number on it, and when your order is ready they know where to bring it. The Saturday we were there it was pretty busy but we got in line and placed our orders. My wife and I shared a Sticky Lamb Shoulder burger and a roasted beet salad. The Lamb Burger was large and plenty to share. Very tasty, with a mint and beet relish, feta cheese and basil mayo. The Beet salad was advertised as a side dish, but it was big too. Lots of nice big pieces of tender roasted beets, nuts, feta cheese in a tangy dressing.
Great place to people watch, then go to the beach for a walk or a dip.
Our host told us that Waiheke Island sees about 50 weddings each weekend (maybe just the summer) and sure enough, at the end of the beach there was a wedding.
Lots of good things on the menu, including mussels which I'm kicking myself for not ordering.

We went here two nights on our visit. The location just across the road from Onetangi beach is perfect viewing and there are plenty of tables outside to take advantage of the view and the evening sun.

There is a good choice of beers - and note that Thursday 5-7 is happy hour. There was also a guy playing guitar and singing on the Thursday night and he was excellent - really good music but also great rapport with the audience.

On our second night we ate there and the food and service were very good. The burgers - lamb, pulled pork etc - had plenty of meat in them. The guy serving outside (the manager?) was especially on the ball.

As far as the bar staff are concerned, the young guy with black hair was very pleasant whereas the other guy with sandy coloured hair was a miserable and ignorant g*t. He needs to sort himself out or move over for someone who understands what good service means.

All in all though a great place to go and we thoroughly enjoyed both nights.

Excellent location on Onetangi beach. Has a good varied menu, but the burgers are the best! One of the more casual places to eat on Waiheke, to pop in when spending the day at the beach. The service is ok, sometimes we have found there's a noticeable gap of time between each person's food coming out, but this is never a big issue.
