Rain a lot but still had fun.

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 24 Oct 2024
Rain for the first three days we were. Heavy rain and high winds. Our room flooded the first night. Water came thru the door that wasn’t water tight. Hotel offered to move us to another room. My wife was having none of that. “The view is to beautiful.” Restaurants mostly buffet with average food. Tried to make reservations for the specialty restaurant. No luck all full. You could get a reservation at 930pm. Pools were great and so were the hot tubs. Wait staff at the pools very attentive and friendly. Didn’t get our room clean for three days. They did mop it after it flooded the first night. The beach is poor. They have put cement wave breaks in the water that make it very dangerous to swim in the water. The adjacent beach to the north of the resort was covered with large rocks. The beach is basically unusable. Royal Solaris Cancun next time.

Had an excellent time and had excellent service. It wasn’t crowded this time of year so there’s no issue finding a good chair on the beach or pool. So many pools depending on what you prefer. Lots of food options for all the meals. We did a bike ride into the local town that was no extra cost. There’s also kayaks and paddle boards free to use. Our butlers for our building were so accommodating and arranged reservations for each night. We did 1 excursion to Tulum and a cenote and we felt safe and had great service. We also renewed our wedding vows on the beach and it was beautiful. There was an evening show each night that the whole family could enjoy. We had kids 19, 16, and 12. The spa was a wonderful experience. We didn’t use the platinum alcohol package as much as we thought. It was a little inconvenient to find a platinum bar.

This is a great resort. From the moment we arrived and met Juan we were amazed at how friendly and helpful everyone was. Our butlers, Erik and Alejandro were amazing as were the great personnel at the lobby bar, especially Carlos, Noe, and Lemuel. Gilberto and Angel kept our drinks flowing at the main pool everyday! We highly recommend this resort!!

I am a Travel Agent and this is a resort that I recommend to my clients that need something budget friendly. I decided to join one of my client's here for their wedding and was glad I did! Let me start off by saying that the resort is very clean and has a lot of staff...but most of the customer service team is focused on the "Platnium" guests. With that being said...if you can spend a little more, definitely upgrade so you can be a priority.

I stood at the Ventus Ha resort which is right across the street and is their newest addition. Very modern, great bartender at the Waves Bar (Manuel or Mario was his name) that makes a killer Paloma or cocktail. This section of the resort has a great roof top infinity pool and a little quieter...so if you have young kids, stay at the Ventus or Hotel Marina property..that's where the action is at.

As far as the Wedding Department..I am beyond grateful for people like Guadalupe and Pedro! They did everything in their power (bad weather) to make my clients wedding Memorable. Their constant communication, attention to detail and positive attitudes speaks volumes about their professionalism. I will say that their office is so hidden and hard to find... the resort really needs to invest in giving this amazing team a formal office.
