Just got back. Lot's of things to write about. First we were in a platinum room. Room was dated but good. Good size room, nice Oceanview balcony, large shower, microwave in room, refridge, and very clean. Housekeeping was a 10. Service was very good all around, lot's of staff, friendly , no complaints about staff. What was odd was the food service. Most restaurants was by reservation. Lunch was only available at Delorise. Hard to find food available unless you got schooled on the in's and out's of this resort. There was no food at the pool's like at most all-inclusives. There are 3 resorts in this complex, Hotel Marina, Ventus and Ventus Ha. There are exchange privileges at all 3 resorts but the only place to eat at lunch is at Delores. Dinner the only buffet (no reservation restaurant) was in the Hotel Marina lobby. Food at time was challenging because we didn't have reservations at a specialty restaurant. There was a variety of pools, a number of bar's but most closed early and a lot of bano's. A big lack was phone service. Telcel signal was not reaching this resort so you have to rely on wi-fi which was sketchy. If you want to watch TV in the room hopefully you understand Spanish because the only consistent English channels were the news channel. The beach is a zero, due to hurricane damage, but again the pools were great. Well maintained, lot's of loungers, waiters bringing drinks and a great view. Something I also never had at a all-inclusive was a ice machine in my building, but there was one, and it worked. So to sum this up, now that I know how to find food, great pool, but bad communication by phone, wi-fi, and no English TV channels I would look into a all-inclusive that checks all the boxes.
