Delightful!

We loved our stay at Cabanas Puerto Morelos. Our unit was large, clean and the roof deck was a bonus. The units are in a lovely, quiet oasis. The beach was very close by and the walk to the square was an easy one. Owner, Miriam and manager Kris answered all our questions quickly and were both very helpful. We visited 3 beach towns in Quintana Roo and this town was hands down our favorite. Do not hesitate to visit Puerto Morelos and stay at these wonderful cabanas.

This trip was more than I could ever ask for. Two of my friends and I went and stayed for a week and didn’t know exactly what to expect. We felt safe, welcomed, and at home. Juan and Erika, who helped maintain the cabana property, were the friendliest people. They told us the best local places to eat and led us to the best deals for adventures in the area. We left Mexico calling them our friends. Miriam was also amazing and we were lucky enough to meet her and socialize with her during our stay. Our room was spacious and the kitchen was stocked with everything you needed. Everything (including a smaller grocery store, conviene stores, restaurants) is within walking distance. I would recommend this destination to anyone.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

We usually stay in Playa Del Carmen for 10 days but decided to switch it up this year by spending 3 of those days in Puerto Morelos. We stayed at Cabanas and absolutely loved it. It's such a cute, quaint small hotel. It was very easy to deal with the owner, Miriam and Kris the property manager was always very helpful. Our room was very quiet and comfortable and has everything you need. The beach is a short walk across the street and the hotel provides beach chairs for you or you can rent from one of the many beach clubs. There's a small pool on the property, nice to take a dip after a day at the beach. The room and property are kept very clean. There's plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. We loved it here that we're thinking of adding an extra day next year. Would highly recommend this adorable hotel.

We just cannot say enough about this property.....love it so much we have booked next year and we haven't even left yet!

Quick 2 minute walk to the beach, many restaurants within quick walking distance, store within 8 minutes. The little town has grown in the last 10 years but cabanas still offers us a quiet getaway. All the supplies we need are in our cabanas.

Kris, Juan and Erika do a great job of keeping the property clean and are always ready to help out with any concern.

We would love to visit other places in the world but why would we when we have found our little paradise....

Room tip: Top rooms get more breeze.

We stayed here for 2 days just after Xmas. There are goods be bad points about the cabanas. The contact with the host and current manager is excellent. We were due to arrive quite late but actually got in with an almost 2 hour delay. They were on hand and made sure we were met and greeted. The apartment is fully equipped - beach towels, chairs, coffee maker, juicer etc. So a good option for a long stay. Also a very good location - close to the beach and great little restaurants. Unfortunately the first thing we saw when we arrived was a 'for sale' sign and it seems like the owners seem to have fallen out of love with the place. The decor is jaded, some of the furniture is rusty and old, many of the lights weren't working, the toilet flush didn't work and the place had not been fully cleaned when we arrived - with trash from the previous guests still in the bathroom. Having spent just a couple of days in pto Morelos we discovered some lovely local cheap hotels and cabanas for much less so unfortunately cannot recommend this place.

Our cabana is very spacious and comfortable. We have a front patio that is just perfect for relaxing as well as a back patio - open the doors and you won't need to use the ac (which does work). There is a nice courtyard and pool. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, sugar, dish soap and some necessities that are not normally included as well as pots, pans, and dishes. Very personable gardener and housekeeper as well as manager (Kris) who met us here and went out of her way to accommodate our arrival.
