“You will not regret this choice at Playasol”
Reviewed 30 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This is a condo with everything you can possibly need for a wonderful Puerto Morelos vacation.
This tastefully decorated two bedroom third floor condo is well equipped with a firm king bed in the master, a twin (very firm) & a double (slightly plush) in the 2nd bedroom, a bath with shower beside the entrance and a 1/2 bath off the living area. It is cozy with all of the amenities of home including flat screen TV's, strong internet connection and many plugs (when you travel with teenagers they need to be plugged in:)
The kitchen is equipped with all that you need including coffee maker, toaster, blender and a variety of pots and pans as well as dishes, etc. The stove is gas. The fridge works well and the freezer just need to be securely closed.
Maid service is fabulous (please tip generously as the ladies do an awesome job of assuring the sand you inadvertently dragged in on your towel is gone from the floors and beds are always made and fresh towels are readily available (including beach towels)
This particular unit has a selection of beach toys, beach chairs, coolers and umbrella.

The furniture in this unit is rattan and cushions and is very comfortable and patio chairs are available for the small outdoor seating spaces.

The grounds of the condos are beautifully kept and the pool is spotless. On a note please do not use water balloons in the pool as guests found out during the time we were there as the maintenance personnel had to spend a few hours resolving filter issues after a group decided it would be fun to throw water balloons but not clean up the burst balloons.

There are a number of iguanas on the grounds who are patient for photographers but scurry away before you get too close but there weren't any offensive creatures such as mosquitos or other bugs. Check out the small geckos on the ceiling outside the entrances at night.

This unit is well appointed and the screen doors meant we didn't need air-conditioning on all the time (although there were three units in this condo if you wanted it) instead we enjoyed the breeze passing through the condo. Do be aware that there are air-conditioner units on the roof so it is never completely quiet especially at night in the unit.

On a note pertaining to transportation - if you are using a transfer company take the address as the sign outside is quite small and easy to pass if you are arriving in the evening (Oje de Aqua is the best landmark)

It felt safe at this location even letting our kids hit the pool after dinner till the 10:30 close down by themselves. The beach out front of the development is busy on the weekends but there's always space for you and your family and if you really want to use it there is a sectioned off part for exclusive use of Playasol.

The shining star of this condo development is Cece Glover the manager. She is warm and friendly with a desire to help you have the best time possible in Puerto Morelos. As an American she is easy to communicate with and the staff respond promptly to any request she may give them from you. As for the staff they are friendly and always greet you with Hola but as you would expect they speak very limited English. Cece was able to arrange for accommodation for our friends so we also got to see two other units in Playasol and they were good too. Only first floor units would be suitable for those with mobility issues.

The pool is busy from morning to evening and you and always hear the squeals of happy children around the pool. In the evening the place is very quiet and all that can be heard is the music from Don Ernesto next door. The complex is well lit and gated with plenty of vehicle and bicycle parking.

I highly recommend this beach front development and this condo in particular.

“The condo is on a piece of paradise.”
Reviewed 4 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Puerto Morelos is a small fishing village, approximately 20 minutes from the Cancun Airport and 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen. The condo and grounds are even better than the pictures. The beach is wide open with soft, white sand, and a quick :5-10 minute into the main square area. Massages, food, and alcohol, are all located up and down the beach. Very low key. The caretaker, Cece, was very helpful. The condo is equipped with wireless (as is the pool area), and quite comfortable. You do not need a car. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it if you are looking for quiet paradise.

“Great place to stay!”

I rented this condo from Bruce and June and could not have been more pleased. The property is beautiful. The condo is very nicely appointed and the landlords were a dream to deal with. Being right on the beach and a very short walk to the town square, the location could not have been more perfect. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to enjoy my month here.

Thank you very much, we endeavor to provide an "at home" experience rather than an impersonal rental. And it's a home because we live there three months a year. Please stay with us again!

“Great Vacation”

My two teenagers and I took a much needed vacation staying at Bruce's condo in Villa Playasol. Couldn't ask for a more well cared for condo with all the comforts of home. Location was great, right on the beach but a few blocks walking distance to Puerto Morales and all the great restaurants in this quiet fishing village. None of the craziness of Cancun or Playa del Carmen. Manager was great and very helpful, making lots of suggestions we took her up on. Did some amazing snorkeling which I loved and did some zip lining, ATV riding and Cenote swimming that the girls loved. Felt safe walking around town in the evenings. We didn't rent a car and although there were times I might have liked the flexibility-we got by with a taxi here and there to catch the bus for a day of shopping in Playa del Carmen.
Great time-looking forward to coming back. Thanks!!
