- In a competition of worsts from a murky pool, to dingy wildly overpriced rooms for what you get, to belligerent service, the miserable service gets the laurels. In a succession of 3 different managers over the 2 days we stayed there (we had booked for 7 nights) their only distinguishable difference was the level of petty arbitrariness directed to North American guests. While a rowdy party of 10-20? people was going on upstairs until all hours, my wife and special needs son were scolded for passing through a side gate with 3 other family (we were all together) members (who were staying at a different hotel) because "a maximum of 4 total guests". It got distinctly personal when the manager went crazy that our golden retriever (who was w family elsewhere) walked up the side access to the beach. They said we had 10 minutes to leave and the police were there in 20 minutes, guns and all. Distinctly prejudiced against special needs, North Americans and golden retrievers (at least, we didn't have a chance to discover more biases). Hospitality hospitality hospitality... having said all that, the restaurant inside is excellent- completely different vibe w lovely food, service and servers! Just avoid staying overnight.)
