Avoiding traffic from Modena to Milano 4 American gals found ourselves tired and hungry searching on Trip Advisor for a place to eat. We made this small detour and we are all still talking about how a wonderful, unplanned detour that was! Staff directed us to a parking spot, offered us a cozy cornered table, delighted us with a curated selection of salumi and totally impressed our taste buds with a most unusual savory pistachio cannoli, yum. Menu was varied, from a, made you homesick delicious, maccheroncini with Bolognese sauce to a (left my plate completely clean) duck breast all while enjoying an amazing Grumello from nearby...all this finished with a mouth watering apple crostata...happy and sated drove back to our hotel all hoping that lucks brings us back to this corner of the world, thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome, a truly enjoyable dining experience!

Thank Sandra B

As a person that suffers with severe allergies, amongst which is garlic, a favourite additive to foods in restaurants today, I have declined many invitations to go for a nice meal with friends to various restaurants across the world.

When my fiance and I went to Anima & Mosto in Truccazzano, Italy, we explained this problem to the proprietor Alessandro. He was not only forthcoming in suggesting various meals, but went out of his way to serve me top class cuisine, with professionalism and friendliness that is very hard to come by in today's society.

I was made to feel welcome and part of "family" so to speak of. Subsequently we have frequented the restaurant on various occasions, as well as their outside catering/special events in the village. Alessandro and his staff maintains their good first class standards and still provide me with cuisine fit for a queen.... AND WITHOUT GARLIC....

Thank you Ale and convey my thanks to all your staff also. Anima & Mosto is really my favourite restaurant and will not hesitate one second in suggesting them to anybody, irrespective of the occasion.

Keep up the fantastic work you guys !!! And see yolu soon again ...

Natasha
