We stayed for 8 nights and loved our time there. Special thanks to Mr Robert and Adrian who helped us when my husband had a fall and needed a Dr. The entire resort is modern, clean and of a very high standard. The pools are beautiful and the massages are total bliss.
The food was all very good, breakfast was of a high standard, fresh and plenty of options. Cocktails are great especially the frozen ones, dinners were enjoyable especially the Thai BBQ where you cook your own.
We have traveled extensively in Asia, Europe and America and I honestly can not fault this resort. I would highly recommend and will return next time we come to Thailand.

My only negative feedback is the small group of loud guests who smoke and drink all day at the pool bar. I avoided them by using the other pools so it was not a problem just a bit embarrassing for other Aussie & Kiwi guests.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 3105 and it was lovely. Beautiful views and close to everything yet very private.

Dear BondiKiwiFamily,

Many thanks for your wonderful review. Sometimes fun and drinks lead to a bit of overly-enjoyment, but its holidays and everybody has fun his own way. If it get "too" much we usually step in though.

Again thank you and we hope to have you back again soonest

We have just left Beyond Resort having had one of our best Asian holidays. The resort is relaxed and casual with friendly and helpful staff. The beach is good for swimming and magical at sunset. There are good restaurants for lunch or dinner on either side of the beach within 10-15 mins walk. Also outside the resort on the main road. The food in the resort was very good. We had an excellent set menu dinner at the beach bar with very tasty fish and beautiful roast duck on the menu. Our friends and us enjoyed early morning tai chi each day led by a staff member under the palm trees. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay very enjoyable. Thank you! The rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. A truly relaxing and enjoyable eight days. We will be back!

Beyond Resort is an amazing experience not only because it is adults only but the facilities are amazing great pool which consists of five pools all linked together great pool bar. We are coming to end of our ten night stay in a Deluxe Palm Villa which is very spacious. Lovely large king bed lounge with flat screen tv. Large bathroom with twin wash basins. A special detail is all villas have a hedge around the front of them so you can sit on your lazy boy without prying eyes. If u stay in a deluxe Palm villa you are entitled to 20 % of food and drinks outside of normal promotions. You also get spa treatments in your deal and if you don't want to have a spa you can exchange the voucher for a beer or cocktail
Beach is right at front of the resort near the pool only 20 m walk. Even at this time of year sea is very clam and water is warm. Manger of the resort has said that this will be the last time that you can book the special through luxury escapes. He did say you can still book the same deal up until October 2017. Highly recommend this resort and a special mention goes to female staff member Alma who with her lovely personality can not do enough for you and is always promoting happy hours, special deals and dinners. As recommended by Alma The Polynesian night with buffet is great.

Dear Adrian,

Many thanks for your review. I think there is a small misunderstanding regarding the availability of Vouchers through Luxury Escapes. There will be a new deal in early February 2017 BUT 2016 vouchers can be purchased until end of October this year and then used next year.
I hope to have you back again soon

Best regards

For our first trip to Thailand (or indeed SE Asia) we were excited but of course not sure of a few things.

The resort is about 1.5 hours north of Phuket, for some it may be too far from the glittery lights. For us it was great, quiet, unhassled and so on.

My wife and I travelled with our 35 year old son and his girlfriend.

Our arrival in the evening (dark) mad it hard to work out our surroundings but the welcome was lovely from the staff.

The room/unit was just a standard room but it was nice and roomy and we enjoyed it very much. Only criticism's are the VERY hard bed and the "lounge" chairs not very comfy, not that we spent a lot of time sitting in the room.

We quickly gathered that the staff and indeed the local population are wonderful smiling friendly people. To the extent that a young female staff member riding her scooter along the road towards the main building, made the effort to raise her helmet visor with one hand so she could make a very enthusiastic greeting as she chugged along. THAT ONE THING told me a lot about the people. Enthusiastic and warm greetings were a continual thing throughout the resort and local area. BRILLIANT!

Anyone who came to the resort with a tunnel stare soon had it removed by the staff.

The facilities were all that we could have hoped for, breakfast was brilliant, location was excellent, lovely pools, beach nearby etc etc.

The standout was the people and among the many that were absolutely lovely, several stood out. Carsten (tour organiser etc), Alma (Hostess/supervisor) and Eddie (the main bar area). We also enjoyed the Philipino band a lot.

These people were simply wonderful and made our time there a great joy with their friendliness and helpfulness. Don't ever lose them, they go beyond the call of duty.

We have fond memories of the band, Eddie doing a couple of songs too Great voice Eddy) and Alma (Lovely voice) being forced up for one or two. Because of Alma I had Lady Antebellum stuck in my head for days. It's a quarter after one I'm all alone......

The themed nights (Thai, Hawaiian, BBQ) etc were fun.

We ate in the resort as well as the local little food haunts, cheaper off site and it gives a bit of variety. Resort food though was very good as well.

We would happily go again.

Many thanks for a marvelous review. Beds are firm but we have toppers available to make them a bit softer if required. Happy to read that you have enjoyed resort and staff alike.
Hope to have you back again soon

Bought a Luxury Escapes package. The resort is a long way from anywhere, we upgraded our room and were closer to the beach than the other rooms. Food less than average, service very slow specially at the breakfast room where the staff were more interested in looking at their mobile phoned than attending to the guests. This was brought to the attention of the general manager Mr. (--) who appeared most uninterested about our concerns. The one staff member that saves the day is Eddie in the beach bar, always happy, friendly and ready to help with anything you may need. He is an asset to the resort. Lack of English skills on the part of the staff makes communication very difficult. Place clean, room very large but resort looks very tired, Khao Lak town quite far from the resort and expensive to get there. The resort charged guests about $25 AUD per person for a round trip. Definitely not a 4.5 star hotel, maybe 3 at the most. Would never go back there. Another thing of note is the fact that the massages have to be booked with plenty of time in advance and please note that the towels that cover the massage beds are NOT CHANGED in between customers!!!! We were horrified, the women just tidy them up.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the beach are better other ways you have a long way to walk to the breakfast room and the beach

Dear Peppy569,

Thank you for your review on your recent stay. The location of the resort is clearly described in all literature and online as well. We regard our location and an additional bonus, guaranteeing tranquility in an natural environment. You brought up the slow service to my attention ( sorry Trip Advisor does not allow personal attacks and has therefore removed my name ). On the contrary I am more than interested to listen and act upon guests recommendations and queries, yet I do it my way and on my time. But don't you worry, I am stubborn and don't let go until things are right.
The Spa staff is under instruction to tidy the room before guest leave and then change after guest leave the room to create a nice environment at all times. If the staff start changing during the guest in the room we will get complaints that we clean rooms whist guest in the treatment area. Hard to make it right, but the change of towels is guaranteed.

Best regards
