A Real Treat.

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 16 Oct 2024
We stayed two nights in early October. Lovely hotel - quiet location; friendly & helpful staff; great view (from our "Seaview" bedroom); great food (we originally booked one evening meal but it was so good we booked the next evening too; excellent wine advice; direct access to coastal walks. A real treat and we'll be happy to stay again.

Its an amazing location with beautiful scenery. The welcome when we arrived was great! The service was excellent. However the bathroom....the water pressure wasn't great, a grab handle by the shower would be useful and behind the sink needs to be cleaned!

We have been going to the Porth Tocyn for 39 years, sometimes twice a year. Its unique and in truly breath-taking scenery. The views across Cardigan Bay to the Snowdon range are surely one of the most beautiful views in the world. These days we rent a cottage in the grounds which is owned by the parents of the current owner of the hotel. it is a charming welsh stone cottage with fabulous views, two terraces and a secure garden for a dog..It has absolutely everything you need and of course is a hop and a step to the hotel amenities. You can use the pool and tennis court for a small weekly fee. The service in the hotel is excellent and the atmosphere always welcoming. We love dining in the restaurant and have never been disappointed.
Nick and Louise our hosts at the cottage are always on hand and are keen to help.
We have already booked for next year

We had a fantastic 6 night stay as a family of 4. Henry and his team looked after us brilliantly and the pool was fantastic as were the breakfasts. All in a beautiful location too with lovely beaches and countryside. we will hopefully be back again soon.

We visited with our friends for a birthday celebration, everyone was delighted with the location, food and drinks

The wine list is eclectic with a great selection to suit all tastes , many wines are available by the glass and not just a limited few house wines

A range of local beers is also available and large selection of spirits

As always the food was delicious and extremely well presented

The staff were excellent attentive and polite

Well worth a visit somewhat a hidden gem, it’s become a family favourite

Room tip: Lots of parking space

Spent an excellent long weekend away August 2024 . The management and all the staff went out of there way to make you feel at home , even though it was our first visit we where made to feel as though we where regular visitors.
The grounds are stunning and the accommodation comfortable .
This is a dog friendly hotel and there are some good walks down to local beaches which are also dog friendly.
