We had an amazing 4 days/3 nights at Secrets Riviera Maya. Here is my review:
Staff- the staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating in every way. From our check-in, pool concierge, pool attendants, restaurant servers, and room attendants - every need/want was taken care of. We could not have been happier with the staff!
Accommodations - we stayed in an Oceanview Preferred Club Junior Suite. The room was gorgeous and spacious. The shower was huge and luxurious. With the heat, we did not take advantage of the hot tub on the balcony, but that is a nice perk. We loved the room!
Food - there is one restaurants (Rosewater) on the Secrets side. The lunch we had here was great! The other restaurants are on the Breathless side, but it honestly does not feel like 2 separate resorts and it was no big deal to walk over for dinner each night. We ate at Picante (Mexican), Spumante (Italian), and Silk City (Asian) - all were excellent! We did not try the buffet (I don’t love a buffet!) but everywhere we ate was great. We also enjoyed the 24 hour coffee/ice cream/pastry shop each morning. The only complaint I could have is that the service in the restaurants is slow compared to what we would typically expect in a restaurant, but it was nice to enjoy a leisurely dinner rather than have to rush out, so it’s all in perspective.
Cleanliness - this resort was extremely clean! You can tell the staff pride themselves on that. From the guys who clean the seaweed off the beach each day to the people hand clipping the greenery to get rid of weeds, we felt they put a lot of care into beautifying the property.
I loved having the option to go to Breathless as well, although we spent most of our time in the Secrets pool. It was calm, quiet, and perfect. I would recommend these properties to anyone who wanted an adult-only getaway where every need will be met.
