“Great choice for visiting Southern France”

We spent six nights at the studio and it worked out great as a base for exploring Aix and for day trips around Southern France. The hosts are great and very willing to share information about the area while respecting your privacy. It is a bit difficult to find the correct house at first – just keep driving up the hill – but once there it is no problem to find it again. We found a bottle of Rose awaiting us in the fridge and had a baguette, juice and a bit of pate brought over by the host to welcome us after a long drive down from Normandy – perfect.

The studio is plenty spacious for two with a fold out also available for an extra person or children. The kitchen is nicely stocked and we made good use of it after shopping at the excellent markets in Aix – sink, fridge, microwave, cooktop, toaster, coffee maker, pots pans, plates, dishware, utensils all provided. We enjoyed breakfast and some lunches on the patio overlooking the pool and views of Saint Victoria in the distance. The bathroom has a spacious shower, no tub. It was very quiet and peaceful each night.

There is a new house being built across the lane but we were not disturbed as we were out and about most days and the workers were all gone by the time we returned in the evening.

The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty as it worked well the first few days and then we had some problems connecting.

The hosts live in the main house which is connected to the studio but set up so that it is very quiet and private, just a couple with grown children and they couldn’t have been more helpful. We enjoyed a drink with them one evening at their invitation and had excellent conversation about American and French culture.

We used the location to visit the coast, Cassis is a must see, the mountains and of course Aix for the markets, shopping and great restaurant choices. We had a car so we drove into Aix with parking being a bit of a challenge unless you use the parking garages. We were able to find street parking after a bit of searching on most nights and paid on the market Saturday when it is very busy. You can also walk into Aix in about 30 minutes or walk to the bottom of the hill and take the bus the rest of the way into town. Just know that the hill back up to the studio is steep so if you aren’t a bit fit and used to walking you should plan on a car or using the bus which still leaves the hill to climb but saves a good bit of walking into town.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

“Amazing”

The location for this studio is truly amazing, it's a hidden gem in paradise, with truly stunning views of natural beauty!

To walk the hill up and down between the studio and the main road is a challenge, but well worth it. The surroundings of the studio is very quiet and peaceful. It was very hot there, and even though the water in the pool was freezing cold, it was nice to be able to dip the feet/legs to cool down a bit.

It takes about 30 mins to walk from the studio to Aix city centre, so you don't need a car.

The studio was modern, very clean, excellent shower, all utensils you could need in the kitchen.

Corinne and her husband Sadrine were the most amazing hosts you could ever have! So kind and helpful. Corinne picked us up at the train station with her car as we arrived on a bank holiday, and her husband drove us back to the station after our week in the studio. We were given fresh coffee upon our arrival, and a full bottle of Rose wine in the fridge for us! On our last evening they invited us to share a drink with them, and we got to see their beautiful house.

Would love to come and stay at this place again.

“Wonderful location, relaxing, peaceful with spacious garden.”

Myself, my husband and small child have just come back from a wonderful week's stay in this lovely studio flat in Aix-En-provence. The studio was a more than adequate size for us with everything you could need to feel at home. (cooker, microwave, tv, stereo, sofa, shower and toilet etc) The studio flat opens out onto a lovely wooden terrace. The terrace overlooks their beautiful garden with a large swimming pool which you share but we were never disturbed while using it, so it felt like we had it to ourselves. Corrine and her husband were excellent hosts and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. We also felt independent and left in peace throughout our vacation.

The town of Aix is a short drive or bus ride down the hill from the address so it's also very practical. Highly recommended and we would most certainly stay here again in the future.

“Superb relaxing location, very thoughtful and friendly hosts”

We found the Gite perfectr; a lovely terrace to relax on, a nice sizeable pool, and a pleasant place to spend time in. It is very quiet and secluded for being right on the edge of a city. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, and we made the short trip into Aix either by car or by walking, which we didn't find too taxing (taking around 25mins to walk into the centre of aix).

Corinne and her family were very friendly and welcoming, and can offer advice on the local area.

All in all, a very relaxing stay. would definitely recommend to anyone!

“A little slice of paradise”

My partner and I stayed here last summer. It is perfect for a couple. The studio is modern and welcoming and well equipped. The terrace is a sublime place to sit morning and evening and the pool and views were wonderful. Aix is a charming Provencal city with much to see and do. The markets are a must as someone has mentioned. We also travelled to Avignon from here to see the Palais des Papes - truly magnificent. We had a car but we did get a bus one day and it was fairly easy if you are fit and don't mind a bit of a walk to and from the bus stop. I think it was one of the best holidays I have ever had. This apartment was truly a little slice of paradise. We still talk about it several months on. We will be back one day!
