We wanted a special place to stay and we weren’t disappointed. Secluded in a tranquil bay away from the bustle was a magical place set in the famous Marlborough Sounds. A short sea taxi from Picton (with a very knowledgeable pilot from Cougar Line) who really set the tone for our stay from the start. Once there, the first class hospitality kicked in. Danielle was lovely greeting us on the Jetty. A short tour of the main lounge and restaurant then shown our suite. Private and nestled in native bush with stunning views overlooking the sounds. The big smile on my wife’s face said it all ! The suite was immaculate, little complementaries that you don’t expect but were a lovely touch. Some kayaking and a dip in the the sounds later in the day before some beautiful wine and a relax on the balcony. We headed down to dinner stopping by the fireplace for a drink before sitting down to a 5 course dinner! The chief changes the menu daily and ours was a cracker! All the dishes could grace the cover of the best cuisine magazines. We met the chief the next morning at breakfast, along with all the staff you can see they all love serving the absolute best in hospitality on every level. So much more I could go on but if you want the best in a resort in NZ, you will not be disappointed at the BOMC. Rianne, Aaron and all the staff will take care of your every need (so many others to remember all the names of but thanks to them also for making our stay so special !)
PS. The wine range is excellent - we will be going back
