We went on the half day snorkelling trip. There three stops with a nice variety of coral and fish. The guides have an amazing ability to free dive and find any turtles I the area. This was a real highlight of our Samoa trip. Olaf is a great instructor. We had our two kids with us and they throughly enjoyed it.
I took my two sons to Savaii to get their PADI certificates. Olaf and Tina were great instructors and could not have been more helpful. Both diving and snorkelling were great experiences for us all, the local lads on the crew also very helpful and friendly. Olaf or Tina would pick us up each day from our resort (a couple of villages away) and then drop us off afterwards. Customer service with a smile!
I would thoroughly recommend Dive Savaii to anyone thinking of learning to dive, or just snorkelling with the turtles and over the ship wreck.
Awesome people. Took us to 3 locations for snorkeling. Saw a shipwreck, swam near loads of turtles, and across the reefs with heaps of sea life. recommended. They also do dive expeditions
We had a brilliant trip. Really enjoyed it. The owners were nice and the guys were fantastic and we saw a really good variety of coral and fish. This was one of the highlights of our trip!
Our family have just returned from 8 wonderful days in Savaii and both Olaf and Tina were a major reason for this memorable holiday. Both my wife and I have dived around the world and our three children expressed their wish to obtain their OWD certificates and Olaf was everything you could ask of an instructor - caring, considerate, precise , knowledgable and clearly explained all the necessary instructions. Just fantastic.
Their equipment is top class, their boat, well decked out. Their are also two boat boys who are incidentally fantastic .Thank you Tapu and Popo. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Both Tina and Olaf were wonderful to dive with. How anyone could possible find these two rude as in previous comment is quite beyond us. We are definately returning. Thanks Olaf and Tina.
Owners were very rude to us on trip, very demanding and we felt like we were told off by both of them, despite being amateur snorkelers and unsure of equipment and routines.
Local guides were very hospitable and showed us the wonderful clownfish and coral.
Dear karenhB75
Thank you for joining our snorkle tour and also thank you for enjoying the company of our local guides.
We as the managers are sorry that you felt offended by us or had the feeling of "beeing told off".
Unfortunately I do not remember the tour you joined in June, but I can only imagine 2 reasons why we would use "strong words" to our customers: if guests are about to damage corals (or other delicate lifeforms or tries to touch turtles) or if they are about to damage our equipment or endanger themselfs or others. We are very strickt in our rules: "no touching, no breaking, notaking".
I apologise again, and maybe one reason you felt offended might be that English language is not our mother-language - so maybe sometimes we use not the apropriate words. Sorry for that - but we are and will be very strickt in protecting the reef of the sites we visit and in ensuring the safety of our guests.
Most people who join our tours are very happy, also beginners, first time snorkelers, families with kids, advanced watersport cracks... We have all necessray equipment to make it an enjoyable trip for everyone. If you have special wishes, please tell us in advance - once the boat left, is it usually too late.
Thanks again for bringing the language-problem to our attention.
Tina+Olaf, managers of Dive Savaii
