“A wonderful Villa in tranquil surroundings”

This was a wonderful Villa with spectacular views of the stunning Italian countryside. It was such a peaceful place to stay. Richard and Janet the local Managers were extremely helpful throughout and couldn't do enough for us,they recommended places to visit including organising an event to the local cheese producers which will stay with us for a long time. We enjoyed other activities such as an Italian cooking lesson which was amazing and would recommend as well as a watercolour painting session with a !oval artist fantastic. The villa is well placed for wonderful walks and emmersing yourself in the Italian culture. We are planning to return next year , and we have travelled a great deal around Italy but enjoyed it that much and cannot recommend it enough,it is a gem of a place!

“A Slice of Italian Heaven”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

OMG! I have just got back from a week I'll remember forever. A friend recommended La Stalla to me, and I was not disappointed. This picture postcard pretty part of Italy is a real hidden jewel. I normally visit Tuscany, but this region of Italy is far less crowded with tourists than its neighbour, the food is out of this world, and the scenery stunning.
We had planned to do loads of sightseeing, but La Stalla was so pretty, so relaxed, so unique, that most days we just hung out by the pool, tried our hand at some Italian cooking, or wandered around the countryside.
The house itself has a very special feel. By the end of the first day, it felt like my own home! Whoever decorated the rooms, has that special skill of being able to match odd and quirky pieces of furniture and ornaments to create something very special. It might look casual, but you can tell that a lot of love and care has gone into finding all these treasures.
I cannot say enough about this house. it was a very very special find, and I'll be going back next year for sure. Who needs Tuscany!
PS. Don't forget to buy some Parmesan cheese from the nearby cheese maker.,

“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 6 October 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We spent 7 nights here and it just wasn't enough hence we have booked to come back next year. The property was beautiful and the information provided by Polly on the local area in particular the restaurants was spot on, we had many favourites, the only issue was we didn't get the chance to visit more. The local cheese factory is a must and we are still enjoying the amazing parmesan today. I would agree with the other reviews that the roads can be a little hairy but the view and picture perfect location is worth it. You really feel like you have experienced local village living.

“Great trip all round.”
Reviewed 21 August 2015 for a stay in June 2015

From start to finish, the service was excellent. From the initial information pack, to the help and information we received upon our arrival. We were really made to feel welcome.
The beautifully renovated property is in a very secluded area, so a car is a must. However, this doesn't detract from the fantastic location, fabulous views etc. There are small villages dotted around the area and certainly one really good restaurant a short drive away.
If there was anything slightly negative to say, it would be the condition of the local roads, they're poor to say the least. So my advice there is, don't use your own car to drive there, fly there and rent a car. This is only a minor point though, and it didn't take anything away from a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
