“Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location.”
Reviewed 24 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The owner of the property was great, responded to emails quickly and even met us at the bus stop on arrival. It took about ten minutes to find the place, with a little help from locals, but once found it was easy to navigate around the local area with no trouble at all. The locals were friendly especially at the fox and hound pub, just around the corner. We had several meals there which were fantastic. The property itself had one large bedroom upstairs with lots and lots of storage space and room for a sofa. Downstairs there was a TV and DVD player and sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen was well equipped including dishwasher, microwave, washing machine. Cleaning products for the washer, dishwasher, bathroom and kitchen were also left for us, as well as instruction manuals for all the mod cons. It was light and roomy despite the small size of the property. In a quiet location perfect for walking on a warm day, close to the river, train station. No garden which was a shame but the area itself more than makes up for that. All in all it was a brilliant weekend away and we wouldn't hesitate to book it again should we stay in Wylam.

“Beautiful spacious well equipped cottage”
Reviewed 8 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

As one of 2 couples staying here while attending a friends wedding at Matfen Hall we were happy we did.
Didn't expect it to be as lovely as it was, very deceiving from the outside but a lovely sized cottage it was, with a huge beautiful bedroom. We chose to sleep downstairs on the sofa bed and couldn't complain it was very comfortable and slept really well.
Everything you could possibly think of was provided as the cottage is very well equipped.
I wouldn't hesitate to return to with my family and stay again and will be recommending it to others

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 8 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Stayed at the cottage for 2 nights whilst attending a friends wedding at Matfen Hall.
Debbie could not have been more helpful responding to queries promptly and arranging a time to collect the keys.
The cottage is immaculate with everything you need and more!
Perfect!
4 adults stayed ( one couple slept in the bedroom and one had sofa bed ) and there was plenty of room.
Plenty of information left about using appliances and the history of the area/things to do. Nearby pubs for food/drinks.
Would definitely return !
Thanks for a great stay !

We were lucky enough to stumble across this cottage on the internet and happy that we did, the cottage is modern and clean decor throughout and the village is lovely and friendly. Debbie made everything effortless from start to finish by keeping me informed with nice emails. All in all a good weekend.
