Just north of Chiavenna, near the village of Piuro, on the way to the Bregaglia valley, stands a cosy and warm Agriturismo. Food is all home made and there is also a shop where you can buy products from the farm and the surrounding woods (such as dog rose jam or pine cone syrup or chestnut cakes). Food is genuine and well priced, considering that a fantastic brasato di manzo costs less than 10 euros.. Desserts are very good and sophisticated in the capable hands of Mariarosa, such as sorbets and croustade. Definitely worth a stop along the way. Service very warm and friendly.
