I did not think much to playa de Las americas. I would recommend taking more euros than you think excursions were pricey. The weather was lovely. They had a lovely beach. It's mostly shopping and food and drink. Like I said you'll need the euros to do anything more in the area. There were rude, abrupt people trying to manipulate you into buying things or getting hair braids least to say do not fall for any tricks walk away as fast as you can charging you stupid prices e.g my friend got a braid put in when they didn't want it and was charging them €20-30 euro for one braid. All I can say is beware. Very typical tourist area.

You have everything you need here, cheap food that's great and plenty of shops, loads of places to eat and drink and close to the beach but a bit rocky.

Very lively resort during the evening and night, lots of restaurants, cafes, bars, and entertainment. We found that the resort during the day had a lot to engage the older age groups. Great idea to have a walk way that encompasses Los Cristianos to Costa Adeje, approx 7 miles. Lots of hotels to suit all tastes and wallet. Like a lot of the more mature adventurers to the area we enjoyed the daytime and left the evening and night to the younger generation, with the loud music and endless bars. If you do not want to be disturbed by loud music into the late evening chose your hotel carefully and possibly away from the centre. Definitely a place to visit if not stay. Have spent an enjoyable two weeks here.

Just returned from a week in parc Santiago iv. Weather was very hot in the day but cool in the evening, jacket needed. Stayed in Santiago iv. The apartment we had slept 4. We had a mezzanine with 2 single beds and 2 singles down stairs. There was also a double pull out sofa bed. The room was absolutely spotless. We had a balcony but no sun on it. If you book ask for room facing pool as you get sun all day. The rooms were cleaned on daily basis if you wanted it. The kitchen was well equipped with toaster, coffee machine, full size oven. You have 2 pools one is very cold and salt water the smaller one was heated. There is 2 play ares for little children, one by the pool and another out side the entrance which is very popular. There is a restaurant for snacks by the pool which was ok and there is a pool table.
