I traveled to Portugal together with my partner, my mom and our lovely sphynx Doris. Casa Branca is situated in a tranquil village on top of the hill, surrounded by magnificent vistas. There are several terraces in the house, and depending on the time of the day, you can choose one to enjoy either morning exercises, breakfast or a glass of chilled port at sunset. The views are magnificent and the time seems to stand still.
The interior of the villa is thoroughly planned, all of the rooms are spacious, airy and are elegantly decorated. It is a house where you will find anything you need from towels and dishwasher to sunbeds, hammock, secure parking and BBQ. The car is a must if you intend to see the surroundings, and even go to the supermarket which is around 10 minutes drive from Casa Branca. Otherwise, there are a couple of restaurants close by, but still accessible mainly by car.
Swimming pool is worth mentioning. It was our main "beach" during the holiday as the waters of Atlantic were quite cold for a pleasant swim. There are several beautiful beaches close to the house. Also, many tourist attractions like Sintra, Obidos, Tomar, Lisbon etc. are all suitable for a day trip by car.
The only drawback of the property is that there is no Internet connection, but as far as I understood there is a cafe close by which offers free WiFi. However, we bought a Vodafone sim-card which was more than enough for GPS and checking occasional emails. There is a great stereo system in the house where you can plug in the device of your choice and listen to your own music.
Our family has had a great and memorable journey to Portugal, and thanks to the comfort of Casa Branca, we felt at home during the holiday.
Have fun you too!
