We wanted to walk towards the glacier, which we did. We hadn’t been active for a long time. As a new parent most people would know this was a great accomplishment for us.
Once we reached, feeling all awesome, the Sledge ridding seemed like fun. Especially coming back down. So we booked one. As the guys started to push. The guy in the back in a hushed tone says it’s a different charge for the guys pushing.
Argh!!!! Seriously. I get it that this is their lively hood. But say that up ahead. Why do they have to be so sly and sheepish about it. People don’t like being scammed. Anyway, we got off the sled immediately and walked up.
The owners of the sled came up with us, as they trekked with us throughout our walk and we paid them almost double of their ask. My take on hardworking people is, we spend so much without asking in KFC and other such places. It’s better if we pay hard labour than on our vanity. But scammers just make this bitter for everyone involved.
Overall. The trek was fun, sledding down was too. And if you go up 10feet in, the snow is fresh. View is awesome. If you don’t take the horse ride, the walk is amazing. We went up a few small climbs to get great view of the glacier and the town.
