We are couple that was traveling around the Balkans and Greece and we decided to have a rest in the middle of our trip while we were at the stunning island of Chios. We chose the small village of Mestá after consulting with the locals. The Pipidis' family helped us extraordinarily and not only let us rent an unforgettable 3 storey traditional house for four nights with a beautiful overview of the roofs of Mestá from a lovely terrace were we were having breakfast and dinner. Mr Pipidis also was really kind to us and stopped us for coffee or bougatsa anytime we randomly met around the village. He speaks English and all his family helps out in the family business.
If you are a couple or a family, choosing one of Pipidis' traditional houses would be a definitely recommendable idea. It felt like time was disappearing while all the locals were saying Kalimera while passing by and we were enjoying the sympathy of the people of Mestá.
The apartment was spotless, huge and well equipped. Decoration and atmosphere were really special. We had a nice terrace and access to the rooftop. The apartments are located very close to the main square (remember there's no cars in this peaceful village). Grocery store right downstairs. Don't miss a walk to Pyrgi village through the fields of masticha.
Thank you Pipidis family for giving us an experience to pass to our grandchildren!More
