This is a lovely beach, set at the far end of a cove which has three narrow outlets to the sea. It can become crowded but there is plenty of space. Around the cove there are a variety of places to eat and drink, and the whole area is in the shadow of the wonderful Acropolis.
Access is by walking down from the bus area above, and for the less fit there is a shuttle bus service up and down.
Lindos Beach is not to be missed, has a lovely atmosphere and is thoroughly recommended by us.

Myself and my partner were stopping in Lardos about 15/20mins down the road. Out beach there was okay but very pebbly getting in and slightly shingly. We had tried to research nearby beaches that were more sandier.

We got the local bus and was at the beach by 9.30am and was lovely and quiet before the crowds came. The walk down to the beach is so so steep and you do almost feel like where am i going? As you pass little patches of land where donkeys are kept.

The views are beautiful across the water and right towards the acropolis. The beach is what i would call a coarse sand with some shingle, but the softest sand ive come across in the places ive been to in Greece so far. The waters edge is lovely and warm and is so shallow you can walk out for ages, its also crystal clear. Perfect for snorkelling, although we didnt see much at all. There are a lot of hermit crabs on the bed though!

The beds are 10 euro for 2 and an umbrella. If you are on your own they do give it for half. We chose the sunbeds with the thick blue padding as they seemed the most spread out and not cramped, they were also within a few metres of one of the toilet huts. The toilets are kept clean but you do have to pay 50 cent. I did pay once but managed to wait outside for other people to come out too. Although if you see the lady cleaning avoid at that time. She made sure she shut the door and put the next persons money in for them! Which i totally understand but i didnt come prepared with any more than one 50cents!

The main problem with the beach is lack of attention. The sand is littered with cigarettes which is just vile. The beach wasnt overly crowded when we went at the beginning of october but i can imagine the height of summer it would be rammed. The boards that run along the back could also do with a bit of tlc, getting to the showers was a bit tricky.

However i would go back if i was in Rhodes again. We spent the day at the beach and did some shopping early evening.

This beach could be beautiful and probably once was. Now its crowded with umbrellas and beds and unclean sand full of cigarette butts.Overcrowded and this was in October!
The approach down from the town is a path surrounded by unkept terraces now used for the supposed upkeep of the poor donkeys used in the town for dumb overweight tourists to use instead of walking as they should do. Not good at all, we didn't stay.

If you're staying in Lindos you will be able to get to this wonderful and very popular beach early enough to pick a prime position before the crowds arrive towards midday. If you are coming by car, then you are not going to find a parking spot after 11:00am. We used to leave at about 5:30pm and there were no spaces available. We used to like to go towards the far end, near the taverna Nefeli, were it was a little less crowded and offered great views of the Acropolis.
With fine golden sands and gently shelving crystal clear waters this blue flag rated beach is a great place to spend a lazy day. A set of umbrella and two sunbeds will cost you 10 Euros, prices are set by the local authorities and are the same everywhere on the beach. There are plenty of Tavernas, snack bars and a kiosk for drinks and food. There are changing rooms, toilets, first aid stations and plenty of rubbish bins. At the back of the beach is a wooden boardwalk with tracks running towards the sea every so often. That sand gets hot! This is a great beach for the children, with safe waters and great sand to play with. water sports are low key, with pedaloes, kayaks and paddle-boards for hire. Speedboats, with bananas and settees operate from the smaller beach.
