The NH is an average but nice hotel. A 15-20 minute leisurely and nice stroll to the old part of Jerez. 10 minute walk to the Real Escuela Andaluza Art Ecuestre (horse dancing show, amazing) and next door to this is Sandeman Sherries (excellent tour and tasting) and 10 minute walk to Tablao Flamenco Puro Arte (also an excellent raw performance)
This week leading up to the weekend is the Grand Prix motorcycle race hosted in the city of Jerez. Thousands of motorcycles decend upon the town. If you are a participant, love motorcycles, stay up late to party 3:00-5:00 am and get the perfect room with a view overlooking the Main Street of Avenida Alcalde Alvaro Domecq you will absolutely love this place for this past week. Hundreds of tricked out motorcycles reving, burning rubber, popping wheelies up and down the street, hundred of fans and cyclists cheering, an absolutely incredible and wild scene. The draw back is if you wanted to sleep...forget about it, impossible. Remember this is not the fault of the hotel. This is a major yearly event but if you absolutely love wild and raw then come to Jerez for next years Grand Prix and book your room at the NH Avenida....you will love it.

We stayed in this hotel on our cycling trip. Staff very helpful and friendly and stored our bicycles securely. Lovely room. Fabulous breakfast. We enjoyed a delicious sherry in the bar. Nice atmosphere and music.

We had to park on the street, as the car park was full (only 7 spaces), but as it was weekend it was free, so no real problem.
The receptionist was a bit off-hand at first, but warmed up up a bit as we progressed. There was a major refurb going on in the lobby, so public areas of the hotel were a bit rubbish (but see separate review of adjacent bar/restaurant). Only 1 small lift with room for 4 pax max.
We had a very nice room on 5th(?) floor - virtually a junior suite. Massive comfortable bed. Very clean. Hot drink facilities. Decent wifi.
Decent in-bath shower, and good towels (but no flannels).
Breakfast room was nice enough, and breakfast was OK (though not quite up to the standard of some other NH Hotels that we've stayed in).
The hotel is located an easy stroll into the old town, which is very nice and well worth visiting.
BEWARE - there are several nightclubs situated almost directly across the road from the hotel. Very loud drum & bass music, shouting and revving of motor bikes which woke us up in the middle of the night and went on till 05.00-06.00. We thought this would be just for the Saturday night, but we got the same on Sunday night as well. If you're a light sleeper, I would suggest a room as high as you can get and either at side or back of the hotel (or choose a different hotel).
That aside, it was very good value, decent location, and I've no doubt will be much improved when the refurb is finished.

Room Tip: High floor & back or side of hotel, to avoid noise from nearby nightclubs.

This hotel is fine.

A somewhat grumpy and lengthy check-in process. Decent sized room. No working a/c, but window opened wide. Tea & coffee in room.

Car park very small (fewer than 10 spaces), and difficult to negotiate in. Be prepared, and pre-book.

Around 15 min stroll into the centre of Jerez.

Stayed at NH Jerez & NH Alicante (las ramblas)

This brand of chain hotels is always consistently good and we usually look to stay in one of their branches whenever we visit Spain.

The rooms and bathrooms are well furnished, the beds are superb with just the right amount of support for anyone suffering with a sore back.

In Jerez we asked for a room with a balcony overlooking the main road but there was no noise from traffic as the double glazed patio doors did their job.
Lovely room overlooking a park!

The location in Alicante was in the centre near the food market which is an absolute pleasure to stroll around and have breakfast or lunch.

Bus stop right outside the hotel. Must mention Patricia the red haired receptionist, she was so helpful by emailing us essential information before our stay.
