Un menu dégustation "Maridaje solera" où les plats se suivent et illustrent la gastronomie locale, avec une mention pour le pigeon excellent. Accompagnés par un défilé de vins "sherries" de bonne facture. A tasting menu "Maridaje solera" where the dishes follow each other and illustrate the local gastronomy, with a mention for the excellent pigeon. Accompanied by a parade of wines "sherries" of good quality.

We had been meaning to eat at La Carbona for ages, so when we were recommended on a recent visit to Bodegas Luis Perez; we walked to the restaurant on a Sunday morning and were shown in by the owner. There the beauty of the old bodega coupled with the oh so tempting menu lead us to book for that evening.
For a Sunday evening the restaurant was rightly busy, we chose a bottle of Garum wine and starters of Partridge Pie and Squid Risotto. Both were truly awesome and the flavours of the Risotto were especially perfect. We both then shared a leg of Lamb which was cooked perfectly with a delicate buttermilk aftertaste. This came with Cous Cous but strangely no vegetables.
The dessert menu was/is fabulous and we chose the Cheese Ice Cream and also the Chocolate Fondant. The Brandy and Pedro Ximenez list is priced very reasonably and well worth delving into.
This is fine dining yet affordably so, we will certainly be back in the summer and indeed booked a table for a special birthday 'we' have coming up in a few months time.

Dear Customer. I appreciate your comments about our restaurant. It makes us proud to meet the needs of our customers in the best way we can. I will tell the chef to improve the couscous trimmings. And I appreciate that you value our wine list, we seek to make known to the diners the wide variety of sherries and brandys of Marco de Jerez. If you are going to return to our town, we hope you visit us again.

I took my wife for her Birthday, and we were also able to bring along our well behaved furry (whom you wouldn’t have known was there - a refreshing, mature change in attitude from the restaurant.) We had The Albariza Sherry Pairing menu, which was fantastic. There is another one available for real sherry buffs (which we’re not), but we much preferred the food choices on the menu we had. Every single plate was exquisitely presented and tasted amazing (the squid & mushroom risotto of particular note.) We just had to ask for a longer breather in between courses at one point! Would highly recommend.

It is my second time at this restaurant and I really enjoy each visit. My choice of meal was not to my taste (steak tartare) but my friends really enjoyed their meals.
Service is very good, located in an old bodega makes it the complete experience of Jerez. No room for dessert, that was very unfortunate, we will have to go back again
