We loved our stay at Masseria Alchimia.
Stylish and soothing interiors, gorgeous gardens, surrounded by the ancient olive trees that blanket Puglia. A few kilometres from the coast and the ruins of Egnazia (visited by Horace on his famous trip from Tome to Brundisium). Also close are the conveniences of Fasano. Lots of gorgeous spots within 30 minutes including Monopoli, an amazing beach at Torre Guaceto, Cisternino and Alberobello. The accommodation is gorgeous and excellent value.

Beautiful Massaria in the middle of olive groves, with sea view and endless quietness. The room was very stylish, practical equipped and had great outdoor seating areas – for each time of the day the suitable spot. Just a few steps away there is a farm shop which sells fresh veggies and fruits, bread, olive oil and other dry goods. A short drive down the road you find a cheesemaker where you can buy the freshest ricotta, burrata and much other outstanding cheese.
It is perfectly located for short trips to the beach or even day trips, close by there are also many great and inexpensive restaurants. Caroline, the host, has the best insider tips and is never short of some great advice for things to do in the area. I’ll be back!!

Caroline the owner of this beautiful gem is an excellent businesswoman, she obviously saw the potential in this property after falling in love with the town whilst on holiday, her attention to detail is admirable, from the designer furniture beautifully integrated with rustic natural architecture and beautiful concrete floors, to the excellent map she's designed and emails you upon booking confirmation (and exact GPS coordinates), to creating a Puglia card for her guests after negotiating discounts with some of the local beach clubs and restaurants. When we first arrived she sat us down for coffee and asked us what cuisine did we like and recommended a few of her favourite restaurants she thought we'd enjoy. As the properly was booked when we arrived we were initially in the double standard room for the first 2 nights, it's quite small but very cute and makes the most of its limited space. The hotel doesn't offer food apart from small biscuits with jam, coffee and tea, but there's a farmhouse a 2 mins drive away that has everything you want to cook in the kitchen, we made eggs and had watermelon every morning out in the terrace it was perfect :) Caroline kindly upgraded us on our 3rd to a larger room once it was vacant (double standard room 26 sqm) which was more private. Do note that the wifi is a paid service, we decided we didn't need it and enjoyed being somewhat off grid! Also payments are in cash or via transfers, no credit cards accepted, there is a Deutsche bank branch with an ATM in the nearby town of Ostuni (which is beautiful and has a fantastic restaurant Cielo). All in all we truly had a fantastic time, this is a great place to use as a base when you have a car to go exploring around, all of the places Caroline recommended were excellent, she's a wonderful host and we will definitely be visiting again soon!

We had a warm welcome of the owner Caroline, when we arrived she gave us a map with the most important things to visit in the area. Caroline will give you advise when needed, she can recommend you restaurants and believe me, when she recommend a restaurant, it is it worth.
We stayed for 4 nights in Masseria Alchimia, with 3 adults. We booked the family suite.
The family suite is very nice, chique interior, 2 bathrooms, don't expect a bathroom where you can dance in, but they are everything you need. We had a kitchenette not big, just enough to cook water or eggs, but this is also what it says on her website. Rooms were cleaned every day, the towels are amazing soft! Beautiful surroundings, you can walk to the neighbor to buy your bread and eggs, tomatoes were you taste the sun in... The Masseria wasn't hard to find, Caroline gave me the driving directions before we arrived and signpost as from the highway. We had a wonderful stay... just look around, breath and enjoy the surroundings, and if you look for a place were you see every 2 minutes staff... don't come here, this is a place were staff is invisible but they are here and for me that is just what I want, no crowded place just relax and enjoy.

Room Tip: family suite

Nice enough spot, but too expensive for what you get.
Essentially no staff, but charging mid to higher end hotel prices.
Paid internet which was difficult to obtain, the little snacks they claim will be in the room for breakfast are almost non-existent and not replenished.
It is quiet and in a pleasant and picturesque part of Puglia, but overall the boho rustic chic vibe is not the best value.
