Stayed iust the one night, which was allowed - these days is unusual. Shame we could not stay longer. Room was a good size, nice and clean. Microwave, toaster, kettle, tea coffee etc supplied. Pool was clean, and motel was close to beach. Owner was helpful and friendly. 10 min walk to shops and pub, across the road from a lovely beach. Good pricing, we will return.

Lovely motel with excellent amenities. We stayed overnight only but would be a good place to stay for few days. Wonderful gardens and pool. Tallow Beach is just a walk across the road. Convenient shop and bakery around the corner.

My wife and I had a pleasant four nights stay at this Balinese Styled Rustic boutique motel. It was unexpectedly wonderful. The room is spacious and clean. It was conveniently located in the north coastal beaches of the NSW North Coast. From there we drove to Byron Bay, Tweeds Head, Ballina, Coffs Harbour and Coolangatta. The pristine Tallow beach is a stone’s throw away. Suzie the hotel manager is pleasant and friendly and very helpful. The motel had very colourful and mature garden. Really happy with stay.

The motel is just across the street form a lovely long stretch of sand, and the highlight of the day was my morning walk there, meeting so many happy dogs and owners out for a stroll (or swim)..
The local bakery, pub and grocery store provided what I needed, and Byron Bay was a 15 minute cycle (or you could drive if you must)..
I loved the motel ambience - my room had a back room with a couch and second bed. The small kitchen enabled me to do basic cooking. There's a nice shared patio as well as a pool if you want a quick cooling dip (but too small for a proper swim).
The other great thing is that its away from the party-Byron scene, which is there if you want to go into town for it, but its quiet at night.
Susie is a great host too, and even offered to do my washing (I said please and thank you)!

This little gem is right behind a most beautiful beach - out of the front door, a very short path through the dunes, and you are right there, at a beautiful and almost completely deserted beach, with wonderful views, My favourite place for a break. The motel has been kept updated over the years, and is a good price for the Byron Bay area. It has kept that older Byron Bay ambience, with a lovely little pool surrounded by lush subtropical vegetation and with a Balinese feel, inspired by the owner. Suffolk Park shops are nearby, and Byron Bay itself is 5-10 minutes away by car. Because it is a little out of town, it is much quieter than Byron Bay itself, and is perfect for a peaceful break.

Our beautiful Tallow Beach is just gorgeous first thing in the morning for a walk or run, or of course a swim.
